Nokia World 2013 witnessed the launch of Nokia’s new range of Asha handsets including the Asha 500, Asha 502, and Asha 503. All the three handsets will support a swipe function allowing easy to access camera and sharing and will come in bright red, bright green, yellow, cyan, white, and black colours.
The Nokia Asha 502 has a 3-inch LCD display, 5.0-megapixel camera with LED flash, Easy Swap Dual-SIM feature, 1200 mAh battery and a microSD card slot capable of supporting 32GB card. The Asha 502 handset will be shipped with a price tag of $89 in Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe and the Middle East regions.
The company’s Asha 503 will sport a 3-inch LCD display, 3.5G connectivity, 5.0-megapixel camera with LED flash, Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and will be made available in both single SIM and Easy Swap Dual SIM variants. The Asha 503 handset will be shipped with a price tag of $99 in Asia-Pacific, Africa, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East regions.
A new Asha user interface allows for faster and easier sharing of images on social networks just by a simple touch screen tap. The phones will come preloaded with Nimbuzz Messenger, a VoIP telephony app, which will allow users to make low-cost domestic and international calls to other mobile phones.
Danger Dash, ESPN FC, ESPN F1, ESPN Hub, LINE with Free Voice Calls, Goal Live Scores, PicTag, Photofunia and PicFeed are some of the additional apps which will come pre-installed with the Asha handsets.
