A Lumia-exclusive feature Nokia HERE Transit has now been ported to a select few Asha phones including Asha 500, Asha 501, Asha 502 and Asha 503.
Nokia HERE Transit is an app from the Finnish handset manufacturer that allows users to easily plan a journey via public transport. The service provides its users with schedule arrivals and departures for public transports including bus and trains.
“If you’ve got a Nokia Asha 500, Asha 501, Asha 502, or Asha 503, head on over to the Nokia Store to download HERE Transit for free”, announced Nokia.
Users can make use of a visual journey option as well to estimate how long a particular journey make take. The feature also notifies users about transit changes. The feature will pinpoint a user’s current location and display nearby stations and stops and on selection of a particular station / stop, it will display the type of transport and departure times from that location.
The feature is only available to users in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, UK and USA.
