Nissan has revealed the price of its upcoming model Pulsar, which will be from £15,995 and will go on sale this autumn.
To be manufactured at Nissan’s plant in Barcelona, Pulsar will pitch Nissan in direct competition with rivals Volkswagen and Ford for their Golf and Focus models respectively.
Pulsar will be available in four models like all other Nissan models Visa, Acenta, N-tec and Tekna. The first model Visa is blessed with the 5-inch infotainment screen, 16-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity and air conditioning, cruise control and a start-stop system.
The next level Acent comes with all the features of Visa but packs some more goodies like dual zone climate control and a leather steering wheel, while the N-tec model is upgraded by the 17-inch alloy wheels, Nissan’s connecting system and a reversing camera.
The last and highly upgraded model Tekna adds heated leather front seat and lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring system. Nissan Pulsar is 4385mm long with 5-seat. It is 115mm longer than the Golf and the wheelbase is getting 69mm more length.
Pulsar will be available in three turbocharged engines of which two are petrol engines and one is the diesel engine. Nissan will first launch the base engine car having 113bhp 1.2 DIG-T petrol and the second is of 108bhp 1.5dCi diesel with CO2 emission of 95g/km. The higher range of 187bhp 1.6 liter petrol unit will be launched next year.
Nissan will start taking orders for Pulsar from July 8, with first deliveries expected in September. Prices start from £15,995 for an entry-level 1.2-litre model in Visia trim, and rise to £21,945 for a top-spec diesel version in Tekna specification.
