Google unveiled its Nexus 5 alongside Android 4.4 KitKat just yesterday and according to reports the smartphone started selling like hotcakes and even managed to sell out and restocked in US Google Play Stores. The launch seemed to be quite smooth with a smartphone guaranteed for everyone who ordered it; however, this might turn out to be true as Google has warned that ordered processing of Nexus 5 may take longer than usual.
“Order processing for Nexus 5 devices may take a little longer than usual, up to several weeks. If you ordered a Nexus 5 device, go to ‘My orders’ and click Info for the most up-to-date order status”, reads a message on Google support.
Those who have already received their Nexus 5 shipment confirmation are safe and don’t need to worry. For those who have ordered their smartphone, but haven’t received a confirmation yet may not get their Nexus 5 on time.
We presume that only a limited number of customers are affected by this delayed order processing and is not widespread. Head on to your “My Orders” page on Google Play Store to check the status of your order.
