Nexus 5 was rumoured to launch on October 24 then October 31 and now fresh rumor hints a delay in the launch of both Google’s Nexus 5 smartphone and Android 4.4 KitKat mobile operating system pegging a November launch.
The reason behind the delay seems to be LG’s resource constraints over launch of its own flexible display smartphones GFlex. Rumors indicate that GFlex would run Android 4.4 KitKat.
Earlier it was reported that Google would be launching both Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat on October 28 and a recent Google goof-up which led to disclosure of Nexus 5 pricing for the 16GB model strengthened October launch rumours. But, it seems that now the October event, if any, will only concentrate on Google Play enhancements and features.
Nexus 5 is believed to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, Adreno 330 graphics processor, 5-inch display with 1,920 x 1,080p resolution, 3GB RAM and a 13-megapixel rear camera.
The Android 4.4 KitKat is expected to come with a new design and user interface supporting a new wireless NFC payment system. Users would also be able to save images as PDF files on the device. It is also believed that Nexus 5 will feature a 2300mAh battery, images of which have been leaked already.
Google please choose another manufacturer. I got Galaxy Nexus, I want a
better phone but I will not buy Nexus 4, because a lot of users complain
about overheating and cpu/gpu throttling. So Nexus 5, gets me wonder, should I or should I not buy it??? I’ll better get my hand on HTC One (google edition).
