Google Nexus 10 16GB Wi-Fi is out of stock on Google Play and new press render indicate that Google is almost done with new Nexus 10 and a pre-holiday season launch is highly likely.
The Nexus 10 listing on Google Play Store currently reads “This device is not for sale at this time” – meaning that Google doesn’t have any more of these in stock and that it is not producing new ones either. This points to two possibilities – either Google has decided to discontinue the Nexus 10, which is highly unlikely, or it is working on a new Nexus 10.
The second possibility seems to be more likely considering that recently new press renders of Nexus 10 were leaked online. The press render was leaked by PhoneArena and from the image it seems that the tablet has been completely redesigned. The tablet sports a 10-inch display and doesn’t have any physical button. Further the home screen shows off the usual set of icons including Camera, Chrome, Gmail, Google Maps, Message and YouTube.
Reports indicate that Google will be partnering with Asus to manufacture the new Nexus 10 like it did with Nexus 7. Samsung has been in charge of manufacturing the current Nexus 10, but it seems that the deal of redoing the new Nexus 10 hasn’t worked out. The new partnership came to light after @evleaks tweeted a photo showing Asus branding for new Nexus 10.
