Apple may be prepping the launch of MacBook Pro Haswell refreshes as early as mid-October as sources have revealed that Cupertino has already initiated training session for its Apple Store staff in Mac OS X Mavericks.
OS X Mavericks just hit Golden Master status yesterday and according to sources familiar with the matter, Apple Store staff is being trained on new features, installation process, and troubleshooting options of the new operating system.
Apple first unveiled its OS X Mavericks in June at WWDC 2013 and a Golden Master release of the operating system and iMac refresh this week indicates that new MacBook Pros are not far away. The new Mac OS X features new Maps app, revamped calendar, a tabbed finder, improved Safari, support for multiple displays and iCloud Keychain.
Reports also indicate that Apple will launch its new iPad (iPad 5) as well as iPad Mini 2 at an October event just in time to ensure bumper sales during the holiday season. MacBook Pro refresh alongside that of iPads would be an ideal choice for Apple.
According to certain sources aware about the specifications of the new MacBook Pro 2013, Apple will be fitting in faster Wi-Fi as in the new iMacs, improved battery, faster storage options on top of the already known Mac OS X Mavericks and Intel Haswell processors. It is also believed that the MacBook Pro 2013 will feature Thunderbolt 2 GPU and a screen capable of 4K resolution.
