A new app dubbed RakEM will save users from embarrassment of sending an ‘unwanted’ text message.
Developed by Raketu, the new application’s reciprocal message deletion feature enables users to ‘unsend’ a text by deleting the unwanted sent message from the receiver’s as well as the sender’s smartphone.
As claimed by the makers, the new app also delivers high privacy for instant messaging, file, image and location sharing, voice and video calling.
“With security breaches making headlines almost daily, people want assurance that their communications are private and protected,” said Greg Parker, president and CEO of Raketu in New York.
“And that, should they have second thoughts about something they sent, they can delete with confidence from devices. Raketu’s technology makes this possible,” he said.
RakEM uses server-less, device-to-device direct technology, which completely eliminates the possibility of data storage or mining.
“Combined with RakEM’s patent pending, self-mutating encryption algorithms, RakEM ensures the utmost privacy for data as it is transferred from device-to-device directly, without the use of servers,” the company noted.
Available for free on iOS and Android, the app supports all languages and is used in more than 150 countries.
