Mortal Kombat X has been a delight on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and with the game proving to be one of the best in the series, PS3 and Xbox 360 owners have been waiting for the game anxiously.
This isn’t going to happen as WB Games has revealed in a short statement that the company has come to a decision of not releasing the game for Xbox 360 and PS3. The company states that despite the team working hard for months to get the game ready for the previous-gen consoles, they haven’t been able to get the game deliver the level of quality they wanted from it.
“Please know our teams worked diligently to meet the quality standards set by the current-gen versions of the game”, WB Games said in the short statement. “We were not able to get the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to the quality expected of a Mortal Kombat game and are very sorry for not being able to deliver the products as originally planned.”
The company was to release Mortal Kombat X for Xbox 360 and PS3 alongside the Xbox One and PS4 version, but it had to delay the game about a month prior to launch. Not able to meet with the quality requirement, the company delayed the release for the second time and scheduled it for an autumn release.
The PC version of the game hasn’t been having a great time as there were complaints about the quality just days after its launch.
Those who have pre-ordered the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of Mortal Kombat X can approach the retailer from where they had placed the order and receive a full refund.
