Mojang has sold a whopping 14 million copies of Minecraft PC version.
The game that currently sells for $26.95 per copy achieved 13 million copies sold milestone in December 2013 and 12 million copies sold in September 2013. How much Mojang would have made selling these 14 million copies can’t be estimated as the company offered the alpha and beta versions of the game to early adopters for quite less.
“The computer version of Minecraft has now sold 14 million copies. Celebrating by having no idea how to play Lego marvel on ps4!” tweeted Markus Persson, Mojang founder and Minecraft creator, over the weekend.
Mojang added one million to the sales tally in a little over a month. The company has also sold 10 million copies of Xbox 360 version and one million copies of the PlayStation 3 version. The game is going to be launched for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.
