Microsoft has released its Xbox One November update with a few features – nothing overly breathtaking considering that it doesn’t want to release something that’s too complicated, which may backfire with lot of bugs thereby ruining the upcoming cash-rich holiday season.
The update brings with it ability to adds new customization options, TV-watching features, and improvements to the Xbox One Store.
Adding was custom background wasn’t possible until now, but with the update users will be able to set a background of their choice right from their USB drive while viewing the pictures through the media player.
Next up its the Twitter integration – not a full-fledged one like you would find in Xbox 360 – but doable to the extent that you can tweet game clips recorded on the Xbox One. You can also view TV shows that are trending in the console’s native TV guide.
There are two features that addresses the convenience aspect – first is the ability to restart the console right from the menu saving you the trouble of getting up and manually resetting it. Secondly, you can now download Games With Gold games on their console using your smartphone from wherever you are, so that when you reach home you have your game downloaded and ready to play.
