Microsoft Xbox One holiday promotional $50 price drop is coming to an end on January 3 and Redmond is urging interested buyers to get one for themselves if they still haven’t before the offer is no longer valid.
“For one final week, fans can purchase Xbox One starting at $349 in the U.S. until this Saturday, Jan. 3 at most major national retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Microsoft Stores, Target, Toys ‘R Us and Walmart”, noted Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb on Xbox Wire.
Microsoft announced the $349 Xbox One w/o Kinect as a part of a holiday promotional offer in the US. The price drop meant that all bundles were being offered for less and at times even at a lower price point than the PlayStation 4. The promotional offer was extended by retailers as well who started offering their own bundle variations thereby helping Microsoft ship more Xbox One units than the PS4 during the Black Friday shopping week.
The $50 offer is valid for one more week and if you are looking to buy one for yourself you have the following options as far as retailers and bundles are concerned:
- Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and Target: $50 off Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle or Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle with Kinect, plus a free $50 gift card
- Toys ‘R Us: $50 off Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle or Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle with Kinect, plus a free Xbox One controller
- Meijer: $50 off Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle or Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle with Kinect, plus a free Xbox One game of your choice
- Newegg: $50 off Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle or Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle with Kinect, plus a free 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscription and a $20 Newegg gift card
After January 3, 2015 the prices of Xbox One without Kinect will be bumped to $399 while the one bundled with Kinect will cost $499.
