Microsoft has updated its Bing homepage with high-definition images, image captions, a new Office Online menu and more.
As part of the update, the Bing homepage will now feature images in 1,920 X 1,080 pixels (full-HD) resolution. The homepage will also host image captions to give users a short detail about the image and let them download the image or share it on social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter.
Users will simply need to hover the mouse pointer over the info button located on the bottom-right side of the screen to show up the image caption card and click on the learn more button to get further information about the image.
“Here on the Bing homepage team, we wake up every day thinking about how we can make the homepage even better, inspired by those of you who visit bing.com each day and take the time to tell us what you think. Today, we’re excited to announce that we’re adding one of your most requested features – high-definition images – along with several other improvements,” Microsoft noted.
In addition, users can now have direct access to Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive, through a new ‘Office Online’ tab on the Bing menu.
Also, Bing now lets users select topics of their interest including news, stocks, weather, and flights to see in the bottom trending carousel.
The updated homepage is now live.
