Microsoft has removed the Windows RT 8.1 update from its Windows Store after user reports that there is some issue with the update.
Microsoft hasn’t specified the issue which is supposedly “affecting a limited number of users updating their Windows RT devices to Windows RT 8.1”, but has simply put a notification on the thread here that it has temporarily removed the Windows RT 8.1 Update.
Here is the complete message:
Windows RT 8.1. Microsoft is investigating a situation affecting a limited number of users updating their Windows RT devices to Windows RT 8.1. As a result, we have temporarily removed the Windows RT 8.1 update from the Windows Store. We are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience. We will provide updates as they become available.
We will be keeping an eye on the thread, but do let us know in the comments section if you are facing any issues with Windows RT 8.1 update.
Since upgrading to 8.1 I cannot play videos/trailers from XBOX video store.. incorrect file format error… annoying to say the least, also had some issues with IE crashing/freezeing.
After upgrading to 8.1, windows store crashes and I cannot install skype anymore.. Please fix this issue please…
