Microsoft has published a ‘Accolades – Surface Pro 3’ video on its YouTube – something that it has done to boast about the success of its latest tablet, but from the looks of it the video misses the mark to a great extent and is … Meh!
The 30-sec video starts off by showing the front of Surface Pro 3, followed by a view of its kickstand, someone drawing a circle with the pen, and a few spins later finishes off with a user detaching the tablet from the type cover. The end message reads “The tablet that can replace your laptop”.
In between each of the above events Microsoft has stuffed in accolades that it believes are worth mentioning. These include a statement from The Verge and a couple of other from Stuff – none of them impressive enough or worthy of being mentioned as being an achievement.
Surface Pro 3 is definitely the best tablet from Microsoft and is by far the most successful in Surface line-up and for that reason it deserves more than what has been presented in the video. The work seems to be a hasty one as far as marketing effort goes and Microsoft could have done a lot better by publishing actual sales numbers alongside some strong ‘accolades’ to garner the required effect.
In related Surface Pro news, Microsoft is expected to launch Surface Pro 4 in two screen-sizes one being the standard 10-inch upgrade to Surface Pro 3 and the other being a 12-inch one.
