Microsoft Surface 2 with 4G is set to hit UK shelves on May 8 with a starting price of £539 and those who want to get their hands on one of these LTE enabled tablets on day one can pre-order the tablet from Microsoft Store starting today.
£539 will get you a 64GB Surface 2 with 4G connectivity, which is still cheaper than the 64GB iPad Air with 4G that costs £659. Comparing other models of the Surface 2, the 32GB Wi-Fi only Surface 2 is priced at just £359, and 64GB model costs £439.
Microsoft has sweetened the Surface 2 with 4G deal with quite a few freebies including free Skype calling for a year, 200GB of free Onedrive storage and unlimited Skype Wi-Fi available at more than 2 million hot spots worldwide for one year.
The Surface 2 with 4G packs the usual apps including Office Home & Student RT and Outlook RT.
Those who ain’t in favour of a pre-order can walk into brick and mortar retailers including PC World and Currys or head onto their sites to buy one at a later date after May 8.
