Microsoft has slashed Xbox One UK price to just £299.99. The price cut comes as a part of UK-only retail promotional offer.
“This is a UK-only retail promotion and offers great value for fans looking to buy an Xbox One ahead of the launch of 2015’s highly-anticipated games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Batman: Arkham Knight, along with Xbox exclusives such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Halo 5: Guardians,” explained a Microsoft spokesperson.
This is the fourth price-cut for the Xbox One which initially launched in November 2013, when it was priced at £429.99 and was offered bundled with Kinect plus a free copy of FIFA 15.
The price was slashed to £399.99 on the run up to the release of Titanfall in 2014. The gaming console became cheaper again – falling to £349.99 – when Microsoft launched its Kinect-free bundle.
Finally in September last year, Microsoft cut Xbox One’s price to £329.99 ahead of the launch of Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
It’s yet to be known if the price cut will roll outside the UK or not.
