Microsoft’s first Lumia device sans ‘Nokia’ branding dubbed ‘the Microsoft Lumia 535’ is soon making its way to the UK, new report claims.
Microsoft itself has been spotted listing the Lumia 535 on its UK device website with a “Coming soon” tag sitting next to the phone. Earlier it was speculated that the handset would be released only in a few countries and would probably not make its way over to the developed countries, but now it seems the case is not so.
The Lumia 535 features a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage with support for microSD card of up to 128GB, Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box and a 5-inch (960 x 540-pixel) display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The dual-sim phone boasts a 1905mAh battery.
There’s a 5MP rear camera (1/4 inch sensor, f/2.4 aperture and 28mm focal length) with auto-focus and LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera on board. It can shoot video at 848x480p resolution.
Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS. The phone also offers 15GB free cloud storage on OneDrive along with other Microsoft apps and services including Skype, OneNote, Office Mobile and Xbox. The handset can be availed in cyan, bright green, bright orange, white, dark grey, and black color options.
As far as UK pricing is concerned, the Microsoft Lumia 535 is expected to cost around £100. The exact release date for the handset is yet to be known.
