Microsoft has teamed up with global management consultancy firm Accenture to develop a powerful hybrid cloud platform dubbed the ‘Accenture Hybrid Cloud Solution for Microsoft Azure‘.
In collaboration with leading Microsoft solution provider, Avanade, the two tech giants have developed the new cloud platform and integrated it with new hybrid technologies and services aimed at helping enterprises to build and manage enterprise-wide cloud infrastructure and applications.
The platform will offer new technologies to help businesses migrate and manage applications between private and public clouds in a controlled, seamless and automated way.
The new cloud solution will combine Microsoft Azure as the platform, Accenture Hybrid Cloud as the tools, and Avanade as the service provider. The Accenture Hybrid Cloud Solution for Microsoft Azure integrates and builds on existing capabilities from the three companies to offer enterprises a one-stop service solution.
Commenting on the collaboration, Satya Nadella, Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft, said the Microsoft cloud, combined with Accenture’s industry knowledge and implementation expertise, would accelerate customers’ cloud adoption.
“Our expanded relationship with Microsoft represents a game-changing proposition that addresses the biggest concerns and complexities our clients face as they look to leverage the cloud,” said Accenture’s CEO, Pierre Nanterme.
“Enterprises need to smartly connect their infrastructure, software applications, data and operations capabilities in order to become agile, intelligent, digital businesses. This collaboration with Microsoft and Avanade is one of Accenture’s most strategic and important initiatives for driving enterprise-wide cloud adoption.”
Microsoft and Accenture have revealed that the Accenture Hybrid Cloud Solution for Microsoft Azure is already being put through its paces in a pilot program at Freeport-McMoRan, an international natural resource company. The new cloud solution is expected to be made available in the spring of 2015.
