Just as we are counting the last few days of 2013, Microsoft has offered a late holiday gift to all those classic game lovers as porting solitaire, mahjong, and minesweeper to its latest operating systems – Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.
Microsoft has redesigned the games to include features such as users can earn achievements, compete with friends, submit their scores to leaderboards, as well as track their gameplay statistics. Redmond said that the games “have been redesigned for a new generation of players and devices.”
The games will also feature play, pause and resume option allowing users to continue enjoying the games across multiple platforms including their smartphone, tablet, desktop and laptop.
