Microsoft has announced its first-ever Cloud OS Network comprising of a 25 cloud service provides including the likes of Fujitsu and Capita IT Services to expand the reach of its cloud services across the globe.
Microsoft is aiming to serve over three million customers across 90 markets through 425 datacentres worldwide. The Cloud OS network has been charged with the responsibility of promoting and pushing out services built on Microsoft’s cloud platform including Windows Server with Hyper-V, System Center and the Windows Azure Pack.
Through the Cloud OS Network enterprises and government organizations will be able to choose from a range of services while also getting the flexibility they need through a service that is customised and managed according to their preferences and specifications.
Takeshi Numoto, Microsoft corporate vice president of Cloud & Enterprise Marketing, said, “This network of leading service providers will help our customers create datacentres without boundaries for apps, data and device management.”
“That translates into greater diversity of solutions, more flexibility and lower operational costs for customers, allowing them to focus on their core business rather than managing datacenters”, he added.
