Mazda 6, which debut at the recent LA motor show, has been worked upon by the company both from the exterior as well as the interiors with the latter being the area where most of the work as been done.
Mazda has tried to give its Mazda 6 a more luxurious looks by designing the front panel, new DAB radio, a larger 7-inch touch-screen infotainment panel, electronic parking brake, and a rear seat heater. Mazda’s MZD connect service powers the infotainment setup.
As far as the exteriors are concerned, just like the updated CX-5 SUV, most of the attention has been placed around the front grille in Mazda 6. Some of other areas where Mazda has given attention to include new LED headlight designs – both front and rear, shark fin radio antenna, and greater number of colour range options.
Some of the other refinements include adaptive LED headlights, lane keeping and driver attention assistance systems, electronic handbrake, head-up display, among other things. The diesel variant of the Mazda 6 now packs Mazda’s latest all-wheel drive system.
Mazda 6 is available in three different engine options – 2.0 and 2.5-litre SkyAtiv-G direct-injection petrol engines and a 2.2-litre SkyActiv-D diesel. The 2.0-litre SE SkyActiv-G saloon will set you back by £19,795 and the top-end 2.2-litre Sport Nav Auto estate will cost you £28,795.
