LG Electronics on Thursday announced the official launch of its popular flagship G3’s mid-tier variant dubbed LG G3 Beat.
Developed to cater the needs of mid and low-tier smartphone user segment, the LG G3 Beat offers the best features and functions of its flagship sibling along with a similar design, but at an affordable price.
Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.2GHz quad-core processor, the G3 Beat flaunts a 5.0-inch HD (1,280 x 720p) IPS display with the pixel density of 294 ppi (pixels per inch). The handset runs Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS featuring 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable) and a 2,540 mAh battery. There’s an 8-megapixel rear camera with the same Laser Autofocus feature in the G3 along with a 1.3-megapixel front camera.
The G3 Beat comes in a 137.7 x 69.6 x 10.3mm body weighing 134gms, along with connectivity options including 4G LTE / HSPA+ 21Mbps (3G), Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS/Glonass, NFC, and USB 2.0. The handset will be available in three colours including Metallic Black, Silk White and Shine Gold.
Some notable software features of the LG G3 Beat includes Touch and Shoot, which allows users to touch anywhere on the display to focus and shoot; Gesture Shot, which allows users to automatically start a three-second countdown before the picture is clicked by just a hand gesture; Smart Keyboard and an overhauled note taking app, QuickMemo+.
The LG G3 Beat is all set to make its South Korean debut on July 18, followed by a global rollout in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States in a few weeks. Pricing details of the G3 Beat has not yet been revealed.
