LG G Flex will support 4K videos once the Android 4.4 Update is rolled out, new leaks indicate.
According to leaked User Agent profile, LG’s first curved 6-inch smartphone will offer 2160p video after the KitKat update; however, the device will not support 120fps slow motion video with this update. Users will not be required to do anything but update their G Flex to Android 4.4 KitKat to be able to record 4K videos.
LG has already launched G Flex in Europe and the curved smartphone is available in 20 countries, but there is no word on the handset’s availability in the UK.
Amazon UK has the handset on pre-order for a whopping £590 (SIM-free), while Expansys has listed the G Flex at £690. In the European market, the smartphone is retailing for as high as €900 with the cheapest offer at €750 in France.
Recapping the specifications of the curved goody from LG, the smartphone runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.26GHz, 2GB RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, 6-inch screen with 720p resolution, 13-megapixel camera and a 3,500mAh battery.
The G Flex also packs a self-healing coating on the rear that LG claims will automatically repair scratches.
