G Flex, the first curved-screen smartphone from LG, will hit the Korean market next week with a price tag of 999,900 Korean Won ($940). According to a press release, the curved phone will be available for sale starting November 12 on all the three leading Korean telecom operators.
The curved phone will also be heading to Europe next month; confirmed LG. The company will release the handset exclusively on Orange which is the largest mobile carrier company in France. Although the company is yet to reveal the handset’s pricing for Europe, it is expected to be somewhat over 700 euros.
G Flex is powered by 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and will feature 6-inch HD P-OLED display, 2GB RAM and 3500 mAh battery.
New software including QTheater, which allows users to quickly access photos, videos and YouTube right from the lock screen; Dual Window, which allows effective multitasking by dividing the 6-inch wide screen into two separate windows; Swing Lockscreen, which adjusts the lockscreen image depending on how the G Flex is held; Camera Timer, Face Detection Indicator and Urgent Call Alert will come preinstalled in the new handset.
