Lenovo on Tuesday announced a line-up of four new A-series tablets dubbed A7-30, A7-50, A8-50 and A10-70 powered by Android.
The A7-30, the company’s entry level tablet, will feature a 7-inch 1,024 x 600p display, Dolby-enhanced dual-front speakers, a quad-core processor, a built-in SIM slot, VGA front camera, 2MP rear camera and 3500 mAh battery.
The second tablet in the line-up, the Lenovo Tab A7-50 is another 7-inch device sporting a wide-view HD display. The tablet will ship with a quad-core processor, 2MP front-facing camera, optional 3G connectivity, 8GB capacity, and Ebony color.
The company also briefly mentioned the A7-40, a variant of A7-50, will come with 8GB of internal storage, the front-facing camera, and similar specifications as A7-50. The device is said to drop the rear camera.
The next in line Lenovo Tab A8-50, an 8-inch slate, will feature 1,280 x 800 IPS display, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 4200 mAh battery, Dolby Audio and quad-core processor.
Finally, the Lenovo Tab A10-70, the largest of the range, will come with a 10.1-inch HD display alongside Dolby enhanced dual front speakers, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 6340 mAh battery and a quad-core processor.
“Lenovo’s latest A-series tablet family is designed to meet the demands of today’s young, active users who are always on the go, and have lifestyle requirements that are as diverse as their own personalities,” Shao Tao, vice president Lenovo and head of Mobile BU, announcing the new tablet range said.
“With these latest additions to our tablet portfolio, we’ve introduced devices that speaks directly to each consumer’s habits, whether it’s enjoying music, reading e-books or watching videos on the go.”
Shao added “Our Android family of tablets will appeal to users around the world as we’ve built our products to be highly flexible to serve multiple needs and budgets”.
All the four tablets are expected to go on sale in second quarter of this year. The A7-50, A8-50 and A10-70 tablets will cost £99, £139 and £169.99 respectively, while the A7-30 pricing information is currently unavailable.
