Lenovo has unveiled ThinkPad 10, its latest 10-inch tablet running Windows 8.1 and 8.1 Pro with 64-bit support along with some smart accessories.
ThinkPad 10 sports an IPS display with support for up to 10 touch points offering a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and also includes a Wacom digitizer.
The device weighs 1.3 pounds and has pen support which makes it a great device for mobile use. ThinkPad 10 comes with 2GB or 4 GB memory options and offers up to 128 GB of storage options.
Luis Hernandez, Vice President and General Manager, ThinkPad, Lenovo said, “Our new ThinkPad 10 tablet marries business optimized features with a unique multimode design to offer an exceptional computing experience that allows users to work, play and create in virtually any environment.”
ThinkPad 10 features a 2-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera. The available ports include a Micro HDMI port, an USB 2.0, a Micro SD card slot and a special port that lets users connect it to a desktop docking station and convert the device into a PC.
Some of the latest technological advancements have made their way to the device like the Bay Trail technology. The company claims that the battery would last for 10 hours after a full charge.
ThinkPad 10 packs smart accessories including ThinkPad 10 Ultrabook Keyboard ($129), ThinkPad 10 Tablet Dock ($119) and a ThinkPad 10 Quickshot cover ($59). The Quickshot cover, when folded down to expose the camera sets the device automatically to camera mode.
The tablet can be attached to the keyboards to convert it into a full-fledged laptop. The Portfolio case with flat keys, resembling Microsoft Surface’s Touch Cover, also has a loop to hold the pen.
Lenovo has announced a tentative June availability with a price tag of $599.
