There have been some very significant changes to the mobile phone business in recent times. There was a time when you needed to produce a vast range of handsets that did pretty much the same thing, was pretty much the same size but looked slightly different.
The masters of this market were Nokia, it seemed that everyone had a Nokia phone, even if they all did look very slightly different. Times have however changed and Nokia was slow to follow and have been playing catch up in the smart phone market ever since.
On Thursday, Nokia will hold a press event, likely to be for the launch of their latest attempt to get back on top of the market. This will it seems will take the form, of the much discussed, Lumia 1020. It could also be called the, Nokia 909 and the Nokia EOS, in different markets. Nothing is confirmed ahead on the event but we have been led to believe that it will have a 4.5-inch screen and a 41-mega-pixel camera on the outside.
There could be 32GB of storage with 2 GB of RAM on the inside. It also looks like the new Nokia Lumia 1020 will come in three colors, yellow, white and of course black. We will all finally find out whether the rumors are correct and if Nokia have a challenger on their hands at 8am Pacific time on Thursday 11th July. There is undoubtedly a lot of competition in this market and it could be make of break for Nokia.
