Latest Surface Pro 2 firmware update doesn’t fix the screen dimming issue as users who applied the January 18 patch have flocked Microsoft support forums to report the issue.
Surface Pro 2 firmware update, which was first spotted on January 17 by some users and was believed to have been rolled out in a staggered fashion was confirmed by Microsoft PR firm as an update that fixes battery issues as well as unexpected wake issues experienced by some users who installed December update on their tablets.
However, it seems that the update hardly fixes anything and Surface Pro 2 users are complaining that the battery drain continues while using a microSD card. Some users have also reported erratic sleep and resume issues, while some have claimed that their Wi-Fi crashes after the update.
Considering that the update was rolled out to just a few users, chances are Microsoft is gauging its effectiveness before a full-blown rollout.
