Australian smartphone maker Kogan has announced the UK launch of its new Kogan Agora 4G smartphone to be available with a wallet-friendly price tag of £149.
Claimed to be the “best value 4G Android smartphone in the world,” the Agora 4G has been manufactured by Kogan in partnership with BenQ
Powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A7 processor coupled with Adreno 305 graphics, the Agora 4G smartphone features a 5-inch 1,270 x 720 IPS screen, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 64GB, using a microSD card reader. The device comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Kogan Agora 4G runs Android KitKat 4.4 operating system and will ship with a 2,500mAh battery in its 8.5mm thin frame.
Ruslan Kogan, CEO and founder of Kogan.com said that he applauds Google for releasing devices such as the Nexus 5, with a price tag of about £300 even better than Samsung’s Galaxy S5 or Apple’s iPhone. But all these smartphones are quite expensive for people to upgrade every year.
The company’s new quality device is not only far cheaper than other leading smartphones, but also packs all the features consumers expect from a high end smartphone, he said.
Ruslan added that the sleek and intuitive Kogan Agora 4G, packed with the latest features and technology, is the ultimate device built to keep up with the user’s speed and excitement.
The Kogan Agora 4G smartphone is available for purchase on Kogan’s website starting from Monday.
