Baboom, Kim Dotcom’s brand new music streaming service, which is yet to go live, is being showed off in a limited preview with Mega CEO’s album ‘Good Times’.
The service is described as the combination of Spotify and iTunes with a pretty slick design. The animation, eye-catching graphics and overall user interface design is what makes the service looks a lot better than others.
In addition to music streaming, the service will also have artist pages with their bio, photo and video galleries, as well as the option to download content that an artist has made available for free.
Using the new service users will be able to curate a library of selected tracks, and listen to random tunes.
Though Dotcom’s own artist profile is the only one that is available right now since it’s not yet officially launched, interested artists can provide their email address for updates after the service goes live.
Creators with the best remixes of five of his songs will be able to earn up to $5,000, while the best music videos for each song can earn up to $10,000.
As the service is yet to be launched there may be certain features that might be hidden, so it would be hard to differentiate Baboom from other music streaming service providers like Spotify, Deezer, Rdio, and Xbox Music.
