EA’s recently released action gaming title ‘Battlefield Hardline’ has debuted at the number one position on the Gfk Chart-Track Top 40.
Battlefield Hardline is publisher EA’s first number one game of the year and is also the biggest launch of 2015 so far. The shooting game has landed an impressive launch even better than Battlefield 4 which debuted in second place when released in November 2013.
Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Type-0 HD scored second place in the chart, all thanks to the included Final Fantasy XV demo, while last weeks’ chart-topper Grand Theft Auto 5 slipped to number three with sales declining five per cent week-on-week.
Dying Light and FIFA 15 came in at No. 4 and No.5 positions respectively. Meanwhile, new releases Mario Party 10 and Resident Evil Revelations 2 debuted at No.6 and No.7 positions.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Minecraft for Xbox and PlayStation rounded out the top 10.
