It’s just three days to go for Apple’s September 9 event and a day hasn’t gone by without some or the other report about the iPhone 6 which is expected to show face at the event. The latest rumour is about iPhone 6 pricing [pic below] in Hong Kong market.
Shortly after China Mobile began taking pre-orders for the much anticipated iPhone 6, rumours about its prices for the different models have surfaced. Hong Kong tech site TK Tech News has published an image it claims is of the prices listed out for the different models of iPhone 6.
iPhone 6 is said to be launching in two different screen sizes: a 4.7-inch model and a 5.5-inch model with varying storage capacities. If the information seen on the image were to be believed, both models will be available in storage capacities of 16, 32 and 64 GBs.
There were rumours that claimed that a 128 GB iPhone 6 will also be available at launch.
The starting price of the 4.7-inch model quoted on the image is 6,663 HKD (~£526) for the 16GB model with a price of 7,671 HKD (~£606) for the 32GB model and 8,679 HKD (~£685) for the 64GB model.
The price for the 5.5-inch variant begins at 7,923 HKD (~£626) for the 16GB model, 8,931 HKD (~£705) for the 32GB and 9,687 HKD (~£765) for the 64 GB models.
When it comes to local prices, taxes and other charges might increase the prices for other markets. However, Apple, unsurprisingly, has not commented on it or mentioned price information of its next flagship device anywhere yet.
Earlier this week, a screen shot reportedly of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 was also leaked with the screen lit up, showing how the locked screen would look like. The device is also expected to run iOS 8 and feature Apple A8 SoC. There are also rumours suggesting that it will support NFC connectivity and let users pay using their iPhone 6.
