While several rumours raise expectations, the arrival of iPhone 6 seems to tarry as the latest report adding to the list suggest that the company may not bring the flagship device to daylight until October.
Sources familiar with the matter say that it was discussed during an internal retail store meeting that October 14 will be an “immense” day for Apple, indicating that iPhone 6 may actually hit shelves on the day.
It is habitual of Apple to release its flagship devices in September to raise the sales figure and thereby the revenue of its fourth fiscal quarter. The past devices were launched on Tuesdays and they debut in the market a few days later which usually happens shortly before the weekend to rack up huge weekend sales.
Sources also said that Apple wanted to launch the device earlier in the week this time as there is a huge demand and there is also enough supply due to ramped up production. The sources were not sure of whether or not both the 4.7-inch model and the 5.5-inch phablet model will make their way into the market.
Previous rumours state that the 5.5-inch model will not be out until the end of this year or early 2015, due to production inconveniences. October is expected to be a busy month for Apple as the company is rumoured to unveil its iPad Air, iPad Mini, a series of Macs, iOS 8, and OS X Yosemite while there is also a wide speculation that the iWatch will be launched around this time.
However, there is no official word about any of the rumours from Apple and so it should be taken with a grain of salt.
