All major carriers in the UK including O2, EE, T-Mobile UK have taken their websites offline – a move that seems to be directly in line with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus preorders that are going live today.
Earlier today we reported that Apple US and Apple UK online store fronts have been taken offline – a move we anticipate is part of Apple’s standard procedure of taking the site offline before introducing a new product on its online store front.

Both Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are expected to go on preorder today starting midnight PT in the US and about the same time in the UK. In the US, the handsets will be available for preorder from Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular, among other sellers in the US.
In the UK, Apple’s new flagship smartphones will be offered on pre-orders from O2, Vodafone, EE, Three, Phones 4U, GiffGaff, Virgin and TalkMobile, as well as across all UK Apple Stores.

Currently O2.co.uk [online store], EE.co.uk, T-Mobile.co.uk all are showing ‘bad gateway’ errors when you try to logon.
Apple’s recommended retail prices: The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 could retail at around £539 for the 16GB model, £619 for the 64GB model and £699 for the 128GB version, while the larger iPhone 6 Plus could retail for £619, £699, and £789 for the 16, 64 and 128GB models, respectively.
