At times we have heard rumours and come across documents about iPhone 6 that are borderline bizzare, but the latest one is definitely a crazy one – iPhone 6 will be launched in a 128 GB model, but the 32 GB one will be discontinued.
According to the leaked document, iPhone 6 will be launched in 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB storage options, but Apple will give 32 GB model a pass this year. Why?
It is believed that by removing the 32 GB variant, Apple will try to upsell the 64 GB model so as to make customers pay higher. A few others feel that retaining 16 GB and removing 32 GB could be merely because Apple already has loads of 16 GB chips and were easily available as compared to the 32 GB chipsets.
As per the leaked document by Geekbar Hynix and Toshiba will provide the 16 GB NAND Flash Chips for iPhone 6. Hynix and Sandisk together shall provide the 64 GB chips and Toshiba alone shall provide 128 GB chips. However, there is still a possibility that 32GB model will be available.
We have been hearing rumorus and receiving photos and reports that iPhone 6 will be launched in two screen sizes – 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. Also rumoured are other specifications like NFC, A8 processor, 2GB RAM among other things.
Apple has planned a media event on September 9 as we expect it to launch its next flagship iPhone and iPad.
