Apple has seeded iOS 7.1 beta 5 to developers and with that has patched one of the exploits used by evasi0n jailbreak tool thereby closing one more door for the probable iOS 7.1 jailbreak.
iOS 7.1 beta 4 came with a patch to the kernel exploit used by evasi0n and the latest beta blocks “afc sandbox escape” notes iH8sn0w in one of the tweets. “evasi0n7’s afc sandbox escape is patched in 7.1b5 too.” the tweet read.
Evad3rs team members generally don’t comment on beta releases from Apple and this has been reiterated by MuscleNerd, one of the members of the evad3rs jailbreak team through a tweet back in January “To all the newer JBers: we rarely comment on whether exploits are closed in betas. There’s no advantage..if anything, it just helps *Apple*”
If the update from iH8sn0w is indeed correct, it would mean that evad3rs will have one less exploit in their arsenal. It’s not known though if evad3rs possess unreleased exploits that they will use once iOS 7.1 is publicly released.
