Popular photo sharing service Instagram has announced an app update that adds five brand new filters dubbed Slumber, Crema, Ludwig, Aden and Perpetua.
Announcing the new filters Instagram in a blog post said, “Inspired by the photography, art, fashion and design of the global Instagram community, we’re releasing five new filters that we believe are our best yet.
You’ll see the filters at the front of your filter tray: Slumber, Crema, Ludwig, Aden and Perpetua. They soften and subtly shift colours to achieve the look and feel you want for your each photo.”
The post added that when a user chooses to apply filter on their image, a blurred preview of each filter gets displayed at the bottom. This will make it easy for users to choose among filters and pick the right one to make their image more impressive.
In addition, users will also be able to place their favourite filters before others in the list or hide any filter from the list by tapping on the new ‘Manage’ button at the end of the filter tray.
The app has been updated with few other new tweaks and features as well, including the ability to upload slow-motion videos, real-time commenting and a perspective tool for adjusting the horizontal and vertical planes of an image.
The updated Instagram app version 6.4.0 is currently available for iOS and as version 6.12.0 for Android via Google Play.
