Huawei may be planning to release Ascend Mate 2 as early as January 2014 as pictures leaked on the web indicate that the company has already finalized on the phone’s build and design.
The Chinese telecommunications giant may not be all the famous across the globe, but has released quite a few smartphones with some rather impressive specifications that match the likes of those offered by Samsung, Sony and has even launched world’s slimmest phone at one time.
From the leaked pictures, it seems that Huawei Ascend Mate 2 will be powered by a 1.6GHz quadcore HiSilicon Kirin 910 processor, a Mali-450 GPU, 2GB RAM, 6.1-inch full 1080p HD display, 16GB onboard storage and will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
One thing that surprises us is Huawei’s choice of Android 4.2.2 over Android 4.4 KitKat. Chances are the leakster has had access to a phone running Android 4.2.2 and Huawei may very well ship Ascend Mate 2 will KitKat. From the pictures it is evident that Ascend Mate 2 will have Huawei’s Emotion UI.
