After having waited months for Android 4.4 KitKat update, HTC One owners are in for another temporary as HTC has suspended the update after users complained of difficulties.
HTC hasn’t given specific reasons behind the suspension, but quite a few users who have updated their smartphones are complaining of poor battery life among others issues. We are not sure whether this is the primary reason.
“Hi, we’re aware that some users are having issues with the 4.4 update. As a result, all updates have been temporarily suspended”, tweeted HTC UK.
In a not so elaborate statement to Android Central, HTC said “We are aware that a limited number of HTC users are experiencing difficulties with the KitKat update.”
“As a result, all FOTA updates have been temporarily suspended. HTC is committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience and we are working hard to resolve the issue quickly.”
Such issues aren’t uncommon in the world of Android specifically when vendors skin their handsets with their own custom UI rather than using stock Android interface.
