HTC has started rolling out Android 4.3, Sense 5.5 update for its HTC One smartphone globally with users in Asia, US and Canada being the lucky first.
Initially slated for a September roll out, the Android 4.3 update has just been released this week starting Thursday. HTC One owners in Asia, US and Canada have reportedly started receiving the update while those in the UK haven’t received the update notification on their handsets yet.
Some of the major improvements that come to Blinkfeed with Sense 5.5 are offline reading, better recommendations, improved Instagram integration, side swipe for quick shortcuts and Google+, RSS and ability to turn off Blinkfeed completely rather than just remove it from HTC One’s homescreen. Sense 5.5 also brings with it other enhancements like added GIF support in HTC Zoe, Do Not Disturb, Scribble, and improved Camera and Gallery apps.
Google is providing 25GB of extra storage with its Jelly Bean 4.3 update to all HTC One users. With 15GB of onboard storage the total storage is now 40GB.
HTC has also announced that the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update and Sense 5.5 will be coming to HTC One Mini as well, but the dates haven’t been revealed.
