Google has updated Google Wallet for Android to add support for Google Maps integration and more.
Google revealed through a post that it is incorporating this feature in a bid to enable users keep track of their spendings – specifically where part of it.
“We’ve integrated with Google Maps to bring you a new kind of receipt that makes it easier to keep track of your purchases and identify any suspicious transactions. You can also search your transaction history to easily find additional information about previous purchases by touching the magnifying glass within Transactions and searching for the merchant’s name, item of purchase, or other keywords,” the new features were explained in a Google+ post.
With the new update, Google Wallet users will now be able to look at a digital receipt and get a Google Maps image showing the location of where the item was purchased. The update also allows users to check for transaction history based on the name of a merchant, the product purchased, or other keywords.
The latest version of Google Wallet for Android is currently available for download from the Google Play Store for free.
