Google has released an Android app for its Goo.gl URL shortener allowing users to shorten links while on the move with the ability of tracking clicks.
Social networks and other sites also offer link shortening services, but they rarely provide analytics feature wherein users can track how many times a link was clicked on.
Beyond the typical link shortening, users will also be able to check how effective a particular link is. Users can directly shorten links on their Android smartphone / tablet without having to wait for the web interface to load on their desktops or laptops.
The app was released earlier this week and is available from Google Play Store here.
