Google’s 24-hour Glass sale had reportedly been a great success with the company stating all the available units to have been claimed. The company is yet shared any sales figures for its first open-sales event.
“We’re out of spots in the Explorer Program for now, but may have more to share soon,” Google wrote on the Get Glass page.
Google on Tuesday opened up sales of Google Glass in different shades including cotton, sky, charcoal, shale, and tangerine.
Within hours of going on sale, Google posted that the white “Cotton” version of the wearable to have sold out.
“Wow, what a morning! We’re happy to see so many new faces (and frames) in the Explorer Program,” the Glass team wrote on its Google+ page. “Just a quick update that — ack — we’ve sold out of Cotton (white), so things are moving really fast.”
The company also tweeted confirming the same “Yikes, we’re out of Cotton.” However, there was no word on the availability of other shades.
Google Glass will be shipped to consumers within five to seven business days. By the time, Android KitKat update or XE16, will also be available for the device. This major update added a slew of new features to the wearable gadget but the video calling feature was held back.
Earlier this month, the company announced that the Google Glass for the first time to available to the general public for a day on April 15 in the US for $1,500. The company had previously restricted the product to a few thousands of application developers involved in Google’s Explorer program.
