The Google Nexus Player, which is already available in the US, Canada, and Japan, is currently up for pre-orders in the UK.
Google’s streaming media player, which is scheduled for release on 26 March, can now be pre-ordered from Amazon and other websites. Amazon UK has listed the device for pre-order at a price of £79.99, with March 26 as the shipping date.
The Nexus Player is powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom Imagination PowerVR Series 6 processor with 1GB or RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It can output 1080p full HD at 60Hz and there’s also a micro USB 2.0 port. Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 (MIMO) and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity are also included. The device runs on the Android TV operating system, which offers a variety of apps, including YouTube, Netflix, Vevo and others.
Nexus Player also has a microphone built into its remote that enables users to search for movies, TV shows, and more by voice.
