Google has had a good marketing run so far with Nexus 5 getting enough of prelaunch limelight and it seems that is wants to do the same for Nexus 10 as specifications of the unannounced tablet showed up on Google Play momentarily only to be taken down later.
Rumour-mongers aren’t giving Nexus 10 that much of an attention, but it is believed that the tablet will launch this year itself prior to the holiday season and probably along with Nexus 5 and Android KitKat 4.4.
The Google Play specification listing indicates that the tablet will have a 10.055-inch diagonal screen with 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution at 300 pixels per inch. The display will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The listing claims that the Nexus 10 will be powered by Snapdragon 800 chipset complemented by 3GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera and 2.1-megapixel front one. Google is going for an upgraded battery as well 9500mAh up from 9000mAh. Some of the other features include Bluetooth, NFC and Wi-Fi.
Considering the specifications and impending launch of Android 4.4 KitKat, it won’t be far-fetched to say that Nexus 10 will run Android KitKat out of the box as the photo of the Nexus 10 in the latest Google Play listing leak and the one we reported last week are the same.
