Google on Tuesday announced it has inked a deal with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) that will see the consulting giant recommending and supporting its business clients to adopt, set up, manage and customize Google App services in the cloud.
Google said as part of the deal PwC will ensure its business clients are well aware of how to use various Google Apps suite tools including Gmail, Calendar, Hangouts, Drive and Docs, make them understand how they can use the tools to benefit their businesses and optimize their operations as well as help them build custom applications and mobile solutions on the Google Cloud Platform.
“Moving to the cloud requires trust in a new way of working. PwC’s deep industry knowledge and strong client relationships will help businesses realize the security benefits, productivity gains and cultural impact made possible through this move,” noted Amit Singh, president, Google for Work on the company’s blog.
Singh added that the company is delighted to enter into a relationship with PwC to bring the best of Google to work and help companies innovate.
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, PwC is one of the world’s big-four accounting firms that provides audit, assurance, advisory, actuarial, consulting, corporate finance, tax and legal services to private as well as publicly traded companies.
“PwC is teaming with Google to offer our joint knowledge and capabilities to clients, giving them one place to go, maximising experience and assets from both organisations,” PwC Vice Chairman (Transformation) Mike Burwell said.
In addition, PwC has also started using Google for Work products within its own operations, transitioning over 45,000 employees working in the US and Australia to Google Apps for work suite, which include Gmail, Hangouts, Sheets, Docs, Admin and Vault.
