A new Google Chrome extension has been launched, which will change words on your web browser to words that you find more appealing, the extension is called ‘In Your Words.’
‘In Your Words,’ which has just been launched, will allow Google Chrome users to adapt their browser to exchange words that they don’t like with another word that is more preferable. The service works by the user writing a list of words they do not wish to see, with the word that they would like Google Chrome to exchange it with.
To use the extension simply install the extension from the wrench icon under tools and extensions. The instructions for using the new Google Chrome extension are as follows:
- Add the extension to Google Chrome
- Click the Wrench icon, go to “Tools-> Extensions-> In My words”
- Click “Options”
- Enter words and their replacements
- Click Save and start browsing
The tool should improve the web browsing experience for people, who find irritation with certain words or abbreviations that they do not like. It may also be used for humorous purposes, for those that would like to change words into something they find funnier – Google recommends that users change the word Google to Schmoogle. Hilarious.
There are lots of extensions available for download from Google Chrome that can improve web browsing. Google dictionary is a useful tool, after download with a simple double click, it will give you a dictionary definition for that word; an easy way to improve your vocabulary.

At present it is unclear how popular the tool will be, but it is one of the new ways in which web browsing can be tailored fit the individuality of people. It is a great idea which could improve web browsing for all.
