Google has revealed that Chromecast owners can now watch almost all embedded YouTube videos from any site.
Previously users who wanted to cast YouTube videos onto a bigger display had to navigate away from the site and either open YouTube site or one of its mobile applications. There were a few exceptions, but they were only limited to sites on which Google was testing out its new features.
However, it seems that Google has now rolled out the feature to all sites as on one of its support pages it notes, “Casting from YouTube is supported from the YouTube app, YouTube.com, and most embedded YouTube videos.”
It seems that Google has used the word ‘most’ as “Private videos, live content, and videos not approved for mobile playback will not work with Chromecast.”
