UK made gaming console GameStick has been delayed for the fifth time now and will now reportedly launch alongside PlayStation 4 on November 29.
Slated for release in April this year, the Android based gaming console saw its launch pushed back to August, then September, then October and finally November 8. This also didn’t happen and now the console will start shipping November 29 in the UK, while other may be able to get their hands on the console in mid-December.
Few Initial backers have reportedly received their consoles in the last couple of weeks and they are not at all pleased with GameStick. Customers have flocked to Amazon with critical reviews and one user even reported a DOA (Dead on Arrival). There are those who have claimed that the console keeps on freezing and even rebooting without any apparent reason.
The negative reviews on Amazon have caught GameStick’s attention and it has updated its Kickstarter page to help early backers resolve their issues. Some of the issues that GameStick wants to address include Inability / difficulty in connecting to Wifi / WiFi dropping / no internet; UI Sticks on ‘Searching For Updates’; Reports of GameStick running hot; Registered Users unable to complete online stick activation; and Box Seals Open.
